Oil absorbent material

An invention of a formula

The formula I succeeded into inventing is made of natural products , and by applying it into any type of paper such as newspaper , it will make it very high on absorbing oil , at the same time rejecting water .

It works on all kind of oils , crude , light , benzene, and kerosene , including vegetable oil.

The invention is patented in my name with the Scientific research & technology academy in Cairo , Egypt , under number 625 for the year 1998 , ( Oil absorbent and cleaning material ) .

The invention's benefits are:

  1. Consist of non toxic material , and is not harmful to the environment as 65% is natural products.
  2. Cost is way less than competition .
  3. Usable for several times ( more than 10 times).
  4. Material can absorb more than 900 times it's weight

  5. Material can be fabricated into different sizes shapes , solid or cottony like . Then be stuffed into pillows ,socks,or booms. ( cloth must be treated with formula also).
  6. Material will remain on surface of water , even after absorbing heavy oil .
  7. Temperature and salt does not effect the absorption rate nor capacity .
  8. absorption of water is less than 2% , that is after a period of 30 minutes in water .( heavy duty ) .
  9. Rate and capacity of absorption can be made higher for heavy duty jobs , or kept at regular rate for normal operations.
  10. Disposing material by burning will result into clean burn, with less than 3.5% Ash .
  11. This material is making use of waste material such as used paper or cloth to clean the environment , for it is a tow way cleaning method.
